We are offering an excellent opportunity for a Sustainability Advisor to join Clancy Docwra, one of the most successful family owned construction business in the UK. With expertise in rail, water, multi-utility, energy and housing developments, they play a vital role in supplying essential services to major providers such as UK Power Networks, Transport for London and Thames Water, among others. Based at our Head Office in Harefield, you will be responsible for embedding and rolling out various processes and performance metrics to measure Corporate Responsibility (CR) whilst advising and supporting the business on this, delivering strategies and projects to align activities with current CR best practice. Main Duties and Responsibilities Develop smart, achievable and realistic key baseline indicators to measure Corporate Responsibility innovations and performance within company operations for long-term consultation. Conduct in-depth research and analysis of environmental, political and socio-economic issues, statutory laws and client expectations that are integral to everyday operational running of the business. Develop and deliver long-term strategies, projects, objectives and targets to improve sustainability and develop company CR credentials. Proactively promote and drive internal awareness, compliance and sustainability best practice. Co-ordinate Corporate Responsibility initiatives. Continually review business’ performance in Corporate Responsibility activities. Manage the Business in the Community’s CR Index Survey and Certified Emissions Measurement and Reduction Scheme (CEMARS). Liaise and engage with external stakeholders in matters of Corporate Responsibility. Desired Skills and Experience Skills and Knowledge   Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline, e.g. environmental studies or sustainable development. Ability to research, interpret and summarise complex information in a way that is relevant and easily understood both orally and in writing to a variety of audiences. Good IT skills; including familiarity with a range of applications. An enquiring mind and common sense. Demonstrate initiative and the ability to adapt quickly to different situations. Good organisational and time management skills. Good communication skills, both internally and externally A can-do attitude and excellent teamwork skills Ability to analyse and offer solutions.
