Acre is looking for an analytical and dynamic individual to join a specialist team focused on food sustainability and waste.The Specialist will work closely with both internal and external teams, identifying and sourcing the evidence necessary to develop and deliver plans that will reduce the environmental impact of food and food waste.In this role you will be given specific development goals that will enable you to propel your career forwards. You will also undertake work for international organisations such as the EU and UN in food waste reduction and food sustainability.Responsibilities:Develop an evidence programme on healthy and sustainable diets, with particular focus on the win-win with food waste preventionDevelop an understand for catalysing changes in food waste and food sustainability internationallyContribute to the organisation's international food waste strategyKey skills:Educated to at least degree level or equivalentDemonstrable understanding of food systems in the UK and internationallyAnalytical and numerate, including the ability to use, assess and communicate numerical dataProven track record of engaging and influencing others through effective communicationExperience of developing and negotiating partnershipsExperience of working with the food industryThis is a rare chance to join and highly regarded organisation in its field, an organisation that will invest in your professional growth through a structured development plan.
