Our client enjoys a reputation as one of the country's leading environmental consultancies with specialist staff located throughout the UK.  Due to their continued growth and expansion they now have a position for an Associate level Environmental Consultant within The Geo-Environment and Waste department to lead the Contaminated Land team operating from the Cardiff office and with remit over the South West Region. Consideration may be given to full or part time location within either the Bristol, Southampton, Swindon or Wellington offices. The national Geo-environment team has an established workload, excellent reputation and is looking to expand its' business through the appointment of key individuals who can add both technical skills and revenue generation. You will be required to develop new business/clients within existing core work streams (land quality assessment, Brownfield regeneration, and remediation) and/or expand the service offering into new sectors/clients through specialist skills the individual can bring to the company. You will be liaising direct with clients to understand their needs and tailor professional services to meet their requirements. You will be converting new opportunities into fee earning projects through commercial awareness and technical innovation. Utilising an existing team of consultants based out of the Cardiff office to ensure technical delivery. You will also be involved in the growth, diversification and development of the national geo-environmental capability through knowledge sharing and mentoring. To be considered for the position you must be able to demonstrate a track record of technical delivery, leadership and team management, with a thorough understanding of contaminated land assessment.  You will be educated to degree level or ideally with a postgraduate degree, in an environment-related subject. Chartered membership of a relevant professional institution would be advantageous if not essential.
