A highly reputable global engineering firm are looking to secure an Interim Research and Information Manager, to systematically compile and maintain up to date information on permitting and regulatory procedures across different global regions. Working with the Contract Management and Bid Management teams, this highly visible and pivotal role will gather data from previous bids and projects, recording, maintaining and updating all information for submarine projects. You will be responsible for:Understanding, interpreting and processing information gathered, presenting it logically and systematically in a central databaseCollaborating with colleagues to research and synthesise information ensuring ease of presentationCompiling data on external costs for permitting and the duration of procedures, ensuring accurate and consistent costing procedures within bids and work plansMaintaining and cleansing performance data records of Permitting ContractorsDeveloping processes for continuous improvement of the database's performance, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the information for future project use The successful candidate will hold a relevant degree and possess experience of working within regulatory controls and permitting within infrastructure projects. You will have demonstrable, in-depth knowledge of Marine / Coastal permitting (environmental & EIA), ideally in a submarine capacity. It is paramount that the successful individual will have excellent IT skills (specifically in the management of complex and non-numerical data) and work with meticulous attention to detail. High standards of presentation whilst working proactively to tight deadlines in a high pressured environment are essential. Strong engagement, communication and influencing skills are essential, including proven capability in extracting and delivering succinct information from internal and external senior stakeholders. Fluency in Spanish or French would be advantageous, and occasional travel maybe required.
