Our client is one of the world's leading engineering and environmental consultants, offering professional planning, engineering and architectural design, environmental, construction and programme and construction management services throughout the UK and Ireland, Continental Europe, India, the Middle East, the Americas and Asia/Pacific regions. They specialise in full lifecycle services for clients across a broad range of industry sectors, as well as public sector agencies and national governments. They are currently looking to recruit an Ecologist to work within their Yorkshire region. The position will involve the following responsibilities: Assisting with and/or managing a range of ecological field surveys, including protected species surveys and extended Phase 1 Habitat Surveys Undertaking desk studies, literature reviews and data analysis, as well as assisting with preparing reports to a high technical standard and within deadlines  Assisting in the production of Environmental Impact Assessment documents  The successful candidate will have: Field experience A relevant higher degree in Ecology, Zoology, Biological Sciences or other relevant Environmental Sciences Legislation knowledge Full/associate/graduate membership of IEEM (depending on experience) Ability to complete rare species surveys Protected species licence Full driving licence In return, our client is offering the selected candidate excellent benefits and employment conditions, together with the opportunity to develop your career.
