Our client is a leading Ecology Consultancy Practice that is working on projects throughout the UK. They are now recruiting for a Senior Ecologist to join their Gloucestershire office.  This is an excellent opportunity to join a progressive and growing ecology consultancy practice. The successful candidate will work within a team of ecologists, and alongside landscape planners and arboriculturalists, on projects throughout the UK. They would be involved with undertaking and managing ecological impact assessment work in a range of sectors, undertaking surveys, liaising with clients, as well as managing and mentoring other team members, including consultants and graduates.  Candidates should have five years' experience of ecology consultancy. This will include experience of ecological impact assessments in relation to residential, mixed-use and renewable energy schemes. Your skills and qualifications should include: Full Member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) Excellent academic qualifications in ecology or biological sciences Experience of managing projects on time and to budget Excellent report writing skills Excellent survey skills (extended Phase I, plus a specialism in either botany or a protected species) Excellent understanding of legislative and planning policy framework as it relates to ecology and nature conservation Experience liaising with clients, statutory bodies and LPAs.
