Our client is a successful environmental consultancy that provides specialist services and advice to both public and private sector clients. The company has experienced continual growth since its inception and they now require an Ecologist to work out of their Sussex office.  The role will involve the following duties:  Carry out and supervised protected species surveys Work independently and as part of a team Produce concise, clear reports Contribute to EcIA, EPS licence-applications and BREEAM assessments. Contribute to business development Manage junior staff and sub-contractors for field work Liaise and communicate effectively with clients, third parties (NE, LPAs) and colleagues Candidates must hold a BSc, or MSc in related subject and will have Membership of CIEEM. Ideally you will have a minimum of two years' experience in ecological consultancy. Hold at least one Natural England EPS licence. Survey experience for a variety of habitats and protective species, Experience of writing reports and method statements. Working knowledge of UK and EU wildlife legislation and planning policies. Previous experience of CAD would be an advantage.
