Our client is a privately owned consultancy with an excellent reputation based Devon. They are now recruiting for a Senior / Principal Ecologist to join their team.  As a Senior member of the team you will carry out day to day man management of Ecology Projects undertaking and supervising surveys, report writing and advising clients, as well as more senior tasks such as supervision of other team members, maintaining an overview of the companies wider workload, monitoring the quality of work, and representing the company at a senior level in client liaison, including the provision of technical advice.  The candidate will have overall responsibility for all quality and technical aspects of the companies output. Thorough knowledge of wildlife legislation and the planning system and confidence in providing technical advice to clients and staff. Full range of survey skills including Phase 1 habitat survey and protected species assessments. Ecological Impact Assessment experience including preparing the biodiversity section of Environmental Impact Assessments. Candidates will be experienced in Project Management, Staff Supervision and will have good report writing and client liaison experience.  Ideally candidates will currently hold a BSc in Ecology (or relevant post grad qualification) or a related subject and will already be working at a Senior Ecologist.  Have a full bat licence Additional NE survey licences and/or specialist survey skills e.g. birds, dormouse, invertebrates Full member of CIEEM Full driving licence
