Purpose: We are seeking an Environmental Management System (EMS) Coordinator to work in our Queen Square office in Bristol. We have held ISO14001 accreditation for 9 years and are well known for our green profile, having won Bristol City Council’s Gold award for our travel plan and the Fairtrade Foundation’s “Best Office” in the South West region. The role will involve maintaining and developing the EMS to ensure continuous improvement and developing the visibility of our system to internal and external stakeholders.  The successful candidate will have previous experience of managing ISO14001 or a degree in environmental management. AIEMA membership would be desirable. We are open to considering a variety of working arrangements, from an experienced external consultant working in an embedded position on a part-time basis, to a less experienced individual working full-time on an employed basis. Salary will be dependent on experience. Duties/Responsibilities: Managing the Company’s ISO14001 accreditation Maintaining and developing the EMS to ensure continuous improvement Reviewing the Company’s Aspects & Impacts Developing the visibility of the EMS for internal and external stakeholders Leading auditor training for internal EMS auditors Keeping the EMS Manual and Company intranet updated with any developments and updated policies & procedures Coordinating environmental awareness initiatives throughout the Company Promoting and maintaining the Company’s Green Profile through various initiatives Providing environmental awareness training to new starters Skills/Competencies required: Previous experience of managing ISO14001 essential Degree in environmental management or equivalent desirable AIEMA membership desirable Excellent communication skills Organised approach Why Join us?
