Our client is a results driven environmental planning consultancy for landscape planning, ecology and arboriculture set in the heart of England. Their ecology team is highly qualified in all areas of ecological planning therefore allowing them to deliver practical solutions to ecological issues within development sites. They are now recruiting for Ecologists of varying levels to work out of their Oxfordshire office. Ideally candidates will be experienced in the following:   Experience in ecological consultancy or a closely related field Botanical identification skills of British flora Knowledge and experience of Phase 1 and 2 / NVC habitat survey methodologies Knowledge and experience of undertaking protected species surveys Knowledge of EIA, planning and wildlife legislation Strong academic ability and record The ideal candidate will have: A BSc and MSc at high grade in a relevant discipline (PhD is highly desirable) A minimum of 2 years experience  Protected species licence(s) Legislation knowledge A proven enthusiasm for conservation Commitment to a career in ecological consultancy Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment Exceptional teamwork and communication skills The ability to produce concise, high quality, written reports A full driving licence  In return, our client is offering a competitive salary to the right candidate.
