Our client is a specialist environmental consultancy, specialising in ecology, environmental assessments and project development. Servicing customers within both the private and public sector, they have a strong presence within the market place and as a result are continuously expanding. Due to this growth they are now recruiting for a qualified Botanist to join their team in Sussex.  The role will involve: Surveying work; Hedgerow, River Corridor, Phase 1 Habitat, Phase 2 botanical surveys, invasive species, NVC Code/BREEAM assessments Ecological mitigation  Participating in development schemes Environmental Statements/EcIA  The ideal candidate will have the following attributes: Relevant degree Associate or full membership of the CIEEM Minimum of 3 years' experience  Knowledge of habitat management  Proficient in completing protected species and Phase 1 surveys  Experience in completing fauna  Experience with terrestrial ecology  Ability to completing Ecological Impact Assessment (EcIA) Knowledge of EIAs and Habitats Regulation Assessment Undertaking ecological watching briefs and Clerk of Works roles for contractors Training in ecological issues and procedures Ability to complete technical reports Experience using ArcGIS Full driving licence In return the company offers the chance to work on new, exciting projects, a full range of benefits and excellent training and pension scheme.
