Fantastic opportunity for a Senior Consultant to join one of the best multi-disciplinary consulting firms in the UK and Internationally. JSM are working with this highly regarded firm to fulfil an exciting opportunity that has arisen in their established team in Bristol. The role offers the successful candidate a fantastic opportunity to enhance their career. You will have scope to manage a range of diverse projects across a number of market areas including buildings, infrastructure and corporate organisations. You will be responsible for delivering sustainability, energy and environmental management services. Responsibilities Based in Bristol this role forms a key part of the team along with significant responsibility in its future development. You will be involved in a wide range of interesting activities spanning the entire life cycle of a project from preparing bids, completing technical work, managing projects and liaising with internal colleagues and external customer base. Desired experience. Depth and breadth of sustainability experience across a wide range of sector. Ability and experience of working with a range of client bodies, including both private and public sector. Thorough knowledge of sustainability principles and practices. Ability to identify issues or risks that affect the delivery of  projects –   address the issue/ risk and agree with the team leader how these measures will be implemented. Detailed knowledge of the development of sustainability policies, strategies, and assessments. Understanding of how to prepare documents and to advise clients on sustainability issues. Development of key stakeholder relationships –regulators, local authorities, community groups and government agencies. Report and presentation skills, Management of multidisciplinary teams – and understanding of how to integrate the work of other disciplines (Engineering, Planning, Design) Requirements                   Essential Skills and Knowledge Significant sustainability and environmental consultancy experience;  Experienced as a project team leader;  Substantial experience of developing sustainability policies and strategies, managing sustainability assessments and liaising with clients / designers / contractors;  Good track record of developing and delivering sustainability workshops and presentations;  Multi-disciplinary working with other groups Business development: promotion, marketing and bid preparation;  Attending and leading client meetings Capable of managing a challenging and varying workload Financial accountability for projects and delivery within budget and programme. Experience of managing BREEAM assessments for a range of projects Qualifications: Degree and/or masters in sustainability / environmental-related topic Full member of Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (or equivalent)  Chartered Environmentalist or equivalent BREEAM Assessor / Accredited Professional Desirable skills and knowledge: People management, including developing others’ skills and nurturing their careers;  Specialised knowledge in a specific aspect of sustainability (e.g. carbon, water, social, waste, corporate reporting, environmental management systems, procurement, etc.)  CEEQUAL Assessor Reward and Benefits: Our client offers a highly competitive salary along with one of the best benefits package in the sector.
