Our client is a leading company in the provision of Water Treatment, Water Hygiene and Air Hygiene solutions. They provide technically advanced, specialist chemical products and training guaranteed to improve operations and efficiency in all areas of water treatment. Due to continued growth within the market the company is now eager to recruit an Area Sales Manager to cover the North East and SE Scotland region.  MAIN PURPOSE     To manage and support the team to ensure customer satisfaction, safe working practices, and individual development whilst efficiently and effectively driving the region to meet objectives.   MAIN DUTIES Develop your team as a group and as individuals to enable them to meet objectives Appropriate use of KPIs, management techniques, and company procedures to effectively performance manage individuals to meet targets and maintain company standards  Accurate identification of training requirements to ensure staff members can competently complete their role and liaise with HR to ensure training is carried out effectively and in a timely fashion Establish clear and achievable targets to ensure individual's contribution towards shared regional objectives   Provide daily management support to the team and coach them to enhance personal development Lead internal training courses on technical and health and safety subjects to meet training requirements and objectives   Establish clear objectives and make sound commercial decisions to achieve sales and regional targets  Create area budget plans by effectively using sales forecasting techniques to establish and communicate clear regional and individual sales targets   Encourage policy of 'sales through service' amongst team that utilises all four product groups  Make key commercial decisions to drive the region forward and meet company objectives  Account management and provision of Water Hygiene and Water Treatment works to company standards as required Proactively manage larger contracts in the region   Actively model the sales through service policy to ensure customer satisfaction Monitor service delivery and adherence to KPIs across all contracts to company standards  Effectively sell all product groups to customers to meet sales targets and ensure customer compliance Adopting a policy of sales through service, promote and sell all product groups to meet sales targets Promote the full range of services available through the skilful and effective utilisation of marketing material Prepare and provide quotes to company standards Maintain and promote Health, Safety, and Environmental standards Ensure a thorough understanding of Health and Safety procedures and uphold and promote these policies to the team at all times Report near misses and accidents to the relevant parties as soon as possible and work with the investigative bodies to identify improvements to equipment or policies Ensure the team's understanding and accurate use of paperwork and PPE to company standards Complete onsite health and safety audits to company standards  Audit equipment and vans against company standards and relay information to Head Office in a timely manner Assist with any other tasks as required by the business  Cooperatively assist in any way within your capabilities to aid colleagues and ensure the business meets its operational requirements Candidates will be degree qualified in a relevant Science / Chemistry discipline and have been working in the Water Treatment industry for a minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
