This is an excellent opportunity for a Climate Change Specialist, with a proven track record in Climate Change Resilience and Adaptation, to play a key role in the UK’s largest infrastructure programme. As a Climate Change Specialist, you will design and deliver specific workstreams in relation to the Climate Change Resilience and Adaptation aspects of the HS2 programme; ensuring statutory and other requirements are met fully and within agreed timeframes. You will also be required to contribute strongly to the development of HS2’s approach to the Climate Change Resilience and Adaptation policy and provide a technical overview of the Climate Change Resilience and Adaptation strategy. The successful candidate will have a: Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant (environmental related) subject; Proven track record of working in Climate Change Resilience and Adaptation role; Strong technical knowledge of Climate Change Resilience and Adaptation strategies and implementation; Track record of operating successfully within major/infrastructure projects; Membership, or working towards, appropriate environmental/ built environment institution (e.g. IEMA, RTPI etc); Proven expertise in successfully engaging external stakeholders and industry bodies.
