Acre is excited to be partnering with a leading FTSE 100 business to hire critical staff in to a rapidly expanding, multi-award winning sustainability team. This team is responsible for transforming sustainability in the Public Health Sector through an exciting and unique consultancy initiative. Integral to this ambitious plan is the immediate hiring of an Energy Officer. Working alongside the Head of Energy and Carbon, the successful candidate will contribute to energy and carbon strategy, support compliance, and develop and maintain data management systems which identify the performance KPI's of client sites. Responsibilities for this position include: Providing energy and carbon management services to clients, supporting compliance in line with energy related legislation and other relevant statutory requirementsUsing remote and local metering facilities, including the Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) system, to develop and maintain an energy and water usage databaseContributing to the development of energy awareness/carbon reduction programmes, encouraging and influencing building users to use energy efficientlySupporting the Head of Energy & Carbon in providing input to new build and refurbishment projects, ensuring carbon reduction measures are embedded across facilities design and operationsWorking as a key part of the sustainability team, developing the wider sustainability business function and supporting the commercial development of this service The ideal candidate will possess: A degree in Environmental Sciences / Engineering or related subjectProficiency in excel, with attention to detail and experience working with large data setsExperience contributing to energy reduction initiatives in a large organisation or consultative capacityKnowledge of climate change legislation and regulatory requirements for energy management and emissions reductionA high standard of written English, the ability to run sessions with small groups and liaise with site managers, teams and energy suppliers This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to an innovative initiative, exercising technical, strategic and creative skills in a role that offers the opportunity to work in both a consultative and operational capacity.
