Head of Business Development & Engagement UK environmental research institute, position based in Wallingford, Oxfordshire Salary circa £50k plus defined benefit pension scheme, bonus scheme, 30 days’ annual leave plus public holidays   The UK’s Centre for Ecology & Hydrology (CEH) is seeking candidates to lead business development and stakeholder engagement, delivering science excellence with impact. The primary responsibility of this role will be to increase and diversify research income through international public and private sectors. CEH is the UK's Centre of Excellence for integrated research in terrestrial and freshwater ecosystems and their interaction with the atmosphere. Reporting to the Director of Impact & Innovation and working closely with CEH’s leading researchers, you will define, develop and market CEH’s capabilities, products and services. New market development will span CEH’s extensive research portfolio including air quality, water resources, flooding, sustainable land management, large-scale environmental audit and data management, in territories extending to Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa. The successful candidate will also contribute to the establishment of CEH Innovation Hubs. You will lead an expanding Business Development & Engagement Section, including responsibility for project, financial and personnel management, to build a flexible and supportive team delivering creative solutions and a high quality service. As a Section Head, you will contribute to leadership of CEH through membership of the Senior Management Team. Whilst focussing on business development activities, you will also oversee the delivery of a range of activities detailed below, including external communications.
