Acre is currently working alongside a large property management organisation, who have a requirement for a Group Environment Manager for an ongoing contract, to be based onsite at their London site.This is the sole environmental role within the organisation and reports directly to the Group Secretary. The successful candidate will carry out the development, review and implementation of the Environmental Management System (EMS), whilst monitoring progress against targets within a programme to ensure continual improvement of environmental performance. You will be responsible for: Developing and implementing the group Environment Strategy, setting objectives to improve business performance Ensuring the organisation meets all environment related requirements, including management of the EMS to ISO14001 standards Developing and implementing a training and communication strategy to increase awareness and competence of the environmental management across the business Monitoring energy consumption, waste management and resource use, whilst developing and implementing projects to improve their performance Carrying out QHSE audits on departments within the organisation and across the property portfolio The successful candidate will be an IEMA Associate member, have extensive experience managing an EMS accredited to ISO14001 or EMAS at Corporate Level, alongside knowledge and experience of energy and waste management systems. You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop and enhance relationships with stakeholders at various levels and ideally have experience using benchmarking schemes, such as GRI, CDP, Carbon Trust or GRESB. You will work using initiative and self-motivation to ensure demanding targets and objectives are achieved.
