Acre has been engaged by a leading UK building and civil engineering company to identify a highly motivated and enthusiastic Corporate Sustainability Advisor. You will work as part of the corporate Sustainability team, providing advice and support for all regions and project across the business. The role will also encompass the maintenance and future development of the various tools and templates for use across the business, as well as independent research on current and future sustainable engineering challenges.   Responsibilities will include; Providing support to the Head of Sustainability; Being key member of the company strategy team tasked to develop and roll out the company sustainability strategy. Lead (where required) and partake in the Sustainability Strategy Action groups. Oversee the production of monthly Sustainability reports. Oversee external reporting requirements -these currently include reporting timber and waste to the UKCG on a quarterly basis. In collaboration with their IT and business systems strategy team continue the development of the sustainability online reporting tool. The ideal candidate will have previous Environmental / Sustainability in-house or consultancy experience, preferably degree qualified in engineering, sustainability or environmental science. The individual should also have experience of working in the construction industry. Areas of expertise: Experience of working within the construction industry (contractor or consultancy) UK environmental legislation Reporting experience Sustainable construction methodologies The Client is looking for an individual who is responsible, reliable and conscientious. The individual will use their own initiative in order to communicate their sustainability strategy across the regions and projects. The role will involve some travel to sites across the UK.
