A transport organisation is looking to secure an Environment Manager for a 3 - 6 month contract contract, to be based in their London office. Working directly with the Head of Safety and Environment, the successful candidate will ensure business compliance with appropriate legislation and standards, driving the implementation of the environment strategy across the business. You will be responsible for: Developing and implementing the Environment Strategy, setting objectives to improve business performanceEnsuring the organisation meets all environment related legal and franchise requirements, including management of the EMS to ISO14001 standardsDeveloping and implementing a training and communication strategy to increase awareness and competence in the environmental management of the businessProject managing initiatives to enhance efficiencies across the business, including waste and recycling initiatives and addressing noise concernsSupporting the business to develop, mobilise and monitor the waste and energy contracts where required The successful candidate will be an IEMA member and will have a relevant qualifications, with solid experience of designing, implementing and maintaining environmental management systems across a multi-site operation, alongside previous auditing experience. You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop and enhance relationships with stakeholders at various levels. You will work using initiative and self-motivation to ensure demanding targets and objectives are achieved.
