My client, a well-established and successful Civil Engineering & Building Contractor are currently seeking an experienced Site Agent to work on sites in North Wales. Reporting to the North Wales office you will be largely working within the rail division, the successful applicant will be managing civil engineering rail projects. Projects will range in value between £50,000 to £3m and will oversee operations from the planning stage to the final accounts stage. The ideal candidate will possess extensive Site Agent commercial experience with a civil engineering contractor or the role might suit a sub agent looking for an exciting opportunity to step up and progress their career. To be considered for this role you will need to have solid civil experience in the rail industry, a degree in civil engineering (desirable) however candidates who hold a HND/HNC qualification and who can demonstrate extensive civil rail experience may still be considered. Main duties: * Monitor progress of site work, ensure work is completed on time and within budget. * Plan and oversee delivery of materials and manage any discrepancies where appropriate. * Maintain good communication with the site team and liaise with architects and surveyors. * Ensure all work complies with building regulations and safety legislation alongside other legal requirements. * Oversee the management of Health & Safety on-site and ensure all safety checks are carried out. * Produce clear and concise method statements and risk assessments. * Thorough control of setting out & site cost/value. * Programming and commercial reporting. * Update client on work progress and act as first point of contact for members of the public and sub-contractors. * Organise and plan plant & materials * Manage all administration effectively Key skills required: * Driven and determined attitude * Excellent people management skills * Confident communicator * Good organisation and time-management Due to the nature of the role the applicant will require a full UK driving license with a clean record. The role will require flexibility to working hours with occasional nights and weekends where business dictates.
