Our Client, a Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy who deliver projects in a fast moving, client focused commercial environment, where much of the work relates to renewable energy developments. They are currently looking to recruit Graduate Town Planner to join a team of professionals primarily for their Hertfordshire office to work closely with colleagues in other disciplines, such as Environmental Impact Assessment, Ecology and Archaeology. The duties of the Graduate Town Planner position will include assisting in the preparation of planning applications including research and investigating planning guidelines. You will get the opportunity to meet client face to face in order to gain a clear understanding of projects as well as the opportunity to work alongside a Senior Planner who will mentor you through your APC.  Key responsibilities:   - Support colleagues in the preparation, management and submission of planning applications on behalf    of clients, including preparing application documentation.  - Assist in the preparation and submission of planning appeals.  - Coordinate the community consultation process and, with support of colleagues, attend consultation    events.  - Consult with clients, third parties and planning authorities.  - Carry out desk studies connected to planning & EIA   - Prepare site plans, planning application drawings and assist in preparation of visual outputs such as    exhibition boards. Job Requirements:  Good knowledge of Town & Country Planning regulations and process, particularly the planning application and determination process, working knowledge of CAD and/or GIS and a full driving licence essential.
