A unique opportunity to use your strong GIS technical skills on the largest infrastructure programme in the UK. As the GIS Spatial Data Coordinator you will support HS2 in the form of spatial data management and analysis, cartography and related GIS activities. You will work within the GIS team and other technical teams in Management Systems with a particular focus on GIS, BIM and Asset Information Management. In this key role your responsibilities will include: Applying your GIS skills, principles and knowledge to support all GIS assignments and tasks; Maintaining the GIS database in line with project standards and procedures, ensuring data integrity, quality and auditability; Undertaking regular reviews of spatial data standards, procedures and quality assurance; Performing and quality assuring data translations between GIS and CAD; Developing and documenting FME workbenches for HS2 and supply chain users; Developing data specifications and standards to ensure consistent creation of spatial data. The ideal candidate will have a relevant qualification in GIS or Geography or similar, combined with a proven track record in automated workflows, data management / modelling and data translation. You will have demonstrable skill in developing Safe FME workbenches, preferably for data translations between Bentley CAD DGNs and ESRI GIS formats and proven expertise in Model Builder and writing Python scripts and building custom Toolbox’s for ArcGIS to automated tasks.
